So still being very new to the points/miles endeavors I am a little confused on some Chase card policies. The question I have is which Chase cards fall under the 5/24 rule and which do not? I just don’t want to screw it up this early. Thanks for the help

I have written before about the Chase 5/24 rule, which basically says that if you’ve gotten 5 or more cards (from ANY bank) in the past 24 months, you are extremely unlikely to be approved for most new Chase cards.  A targeted mailer will not get you past 5/24, and the only way I’ve seen to overturn Chase 5/24 is if one of your 5 cards is an authorized user card where you are not financially responsible for the payment.
