Bandung Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Bandung, Indonesia

Based on what I’ve read, Bandung doesn’t have as strong a culinary identity. Most of their food is Sundanese in origin and they aren’t known for any particular dishes. With that said, they have become famous for giving dishes that originated in other parts of the country a unique Bandung twist.

The dish that comes foremost to mind is Soto Bandung – the classic Indonesian soup typically made with chicken (soto ayam), but in Bandung, it’s made with beef and has the unique addition of radish. Radish gives it crunch and a nice peppery kick that distinguishes it from other versions of soto in the country.
