How you get around Europe all depends on your trip. There is really no best way, as each mode has its own pros and cons — and you can mix them all the time.
But do consider traveling by public transport. Many Americans may have negative associations with those syrupy slow Amtrak trains or sketchy Greyhound buses in the US — or so I’m told — but the trains and coaches in Europe…
