- Is this the end of Norwegian Air? The carrier has had a rough year, battling issues with the Rolls Royce engines on its 787 aircraft and rising fuel costs. It has been in question whether they would survive the until the New Year, but it looks like they will. Things are still touch and go, however. It will be a major blow to the cost of transatlantic fares should they fold.
