The Konkan belt in Maharashtra – an offbeat Indian beach and fort trip

An off-beat destination and one of the hidden gems of India that very few people know about, the Konkan belt lies in the western region in the state of Maharashtra. This region is blessed with beautiful non-commercialized beaches, historic forts, scenic roads, jungles, villages and relaxing nature around. Not sure how to get there? Don’t worry – the places in the Konkan belt are well connected by road. The best time to visit is from October to March when the weather is cool and less humid.
