American Airlines and British Airways are running a good deal on premium economy (or “World Traveller Plus” for BA, if you wear a monocle) to Amsterdam. From October through March round trip fares are $966+ from Los Angeles. While it’s not hard to get sub-$1000 premium economy fares to Europe, two things stand out for this one. First, Thanksgiving travel is included (or a NYE stay is possible too for ~$100 more). Second, Amsterdam isn’t as cheap a destination from LAX as other cities, which are often only ~$500 in regular economy. In contrast, main cabin economy fares to Amsterdam are  usually over $700, meaning the extra comfort offered here is just ~$250 more. Put a different way, PE is just $12.50 an hour…
