United’s nightmare
By now we’ve all heard about the United Airlines debacle, when a paying passenger was brutally dragged off a plane to make room for United crew. In response, United has pledged to reduce overbooking and raised what it’s willing to pay travelers who volunteer to take a later flight from $1350 to $10,000. (How can I get on one of those $10,000 flights?!?)
