In July, the major airlines and Alaska Air (with Hainan Airlines) launched a sale to Beijing from several airports, including smaller airports. This is a great opportunity to see The Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City on a budget. And to check out the Priority Pass lounges at the Beijing airport.
Deals are good from October through March generally, though Christmas and New Year’s are excluded. So not only are winter dates available, but spring break travel as well. In some cases, flights through May are only about $100 – $150 more, and summer flights from some cities are discounted as well (though not nearly as much as winter and spring).
The original sale included smaller airports like Eugene, OR…
